Towering 3,482 meters above the Mediterranean Sea, Mulhacen is the tallest mountain on the Iberian Peninsula and the highest in mainland Spain.  Follow Rob Garneau as he hikes the beautiful Genil River canyon into the remote north face of the mountain, then attempts a solo alpine ascent from the "Mosca Lake" at the foot of the face.

Dating back millenia, we also visit the ancient cities of Granada and Cordoba, and discover the cultural influences of the Moors, including visits to the World Heritage sites of the Alhambra and the Albayzin, and discuss the changes wrought by Catholics under the rule of Fernando and Isabella in the late 15th century.

Lastly, we visit Cabo de Gata-Nijar National Park in southeast Spain, an area rich in wildlife and home to crystal clear waters perfect for snorkeling and scuba diving.
